my laptop got a virus and i didn't have my xp disc so i decided to go to vista. I really have no idea what to get so i ended up getting http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116488 and if you don't want to click that its Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit for System Builders - OEM, i'm just wondering is this a operating system or is there something else i need. Right now there is nothing on my computer and i need windows.

i am always put operating systems on computers. So from my experience i would go to windows vista 32 bit version, home edition. That is more reliable and if you get one with service pack 1 you can play more games then without having a service park. but if you don't get one with service pack 1, you can always download it from microsoft.

thanks, great advice. I just talked to a friend a few hours ago and he told me the same thing. I just ordered the 32 and now have to refuse the 64 and i'm on my way. But i'm looking forward to vista.
