I want to get a new laptop. Everything with decent performance is a 64 bit, with Vista pre-installed. I want to put xp on whatever machine I decide on. What problems am I getting myself into doing this? Am I going to find half my hardware won't work, and no drivers, or what?

For a point of reference, I am more than an idiot but less than a genius. Thanks.

This should be under Windows General Discussion. You may run into problems with drivers if the XP counterparts were never created. I would consider upgrading to Windows 7 x64. This way you know you won't have problems, and almost everyone is pleased with Windows 7.
