A friends laptop just wont load after installing the Vista updates, it loads up so far then gets to the stage 3 of 3 status then just restarts after about 2 minutes! I've tried the Vista recovery option with no luck , Ive tried starting in Safe mode but again it just shuts down and I've tried restoring but there is no prior restore point! i'm thinking this is going to require a format! Any ideas how to get the laptop loading again would be great Thanks
Have you tried booting with the Last Known Good Configuration Does your computer have the recovery option where you return the computer to factory defaults but it keeps all your files? If it does your could try that.
