Booting Problem?? may b it is but i dunno actually wat is it... It comes like that.... I have had Windows Xp set up on my pc ...i thought for an upgrade to Vista but i wasn't sure if everything would go fine.So i set up Vista on another partition. As a result i was having double boot (Vista and Xp) and everything really was great. After a while i faced some problems in XP that forced my to resetup it again.HERE is my booting problem began ,,my Vista disappeared ; i couldn't see it in my boot screen and the pc just started directly to Xp.Simply i put the Vista DVD in my DVD rom and i selected repair then start up problems and it told me that there was a problem that has been worked out and my pc restarted. But XP started directly as it was before. So i did put the Vista DVD again and repair again.then a cute restart...HERE the my problem completed perfectly ...as XP jut disappeared from my boot screen and the pc starts directly to Vista... I DUNNO wat's happening actually but i really need ur help to bring back the double boot screen...
use a lil program called 'VistaBootPRO_3.3.0' It helped me out a lot when I wanted to dual boot a laptop wit vista pre-loaded with XP.
i can't find the proper words to thank u enough (supasonic) ur recommendation was in depth . And i'd like to add points to make it easier for anyone who will face the same problem .... 1.VistaBootPro can be downloaded from http://www.vistabootpro.org/(down the page choose one mirror to dl from) 2.At the 1st glance it may look lil bit complicated...but using the pro is just a piece of cake. All u need to know is when u open (Manage BCD OS Entries)>>Add New OS Entry >>OS Type , Xp and earlier versions = Windows Legacy . Other features r easy to deal with.. Notes :- -Don't forget to make a backup before u do any changes. -it may look weird that the pro is trying to connect to the Internet when it starts ,but -if they rn't bad guys- may b it's for checking an update or sth.To make sure u r in the safe side block the connection with a firewall-as it's not necessary to connect-.
