Visual boy advance cheats not working?!?!?!

    in the visual boy advance it has the option to allow u to use codebreaker and gameshark cheats but when i imput them into the program it doesnt work?!?!? WTF im using megaman zero 2 with the codes im coping and pasting from the official codebreaker and gameshark sites AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
