    Hello all.

I recently added VLC media player to my goodie bag in order to benefit from its ability to play back BIN files that are too large to fit on a CD-R.

    Situation:

    2 bin files (labled CD1 & CD2)
Both bin files too large to burn on a CD-R (800MB+)

    Problem:

CD2's bin file plays perfectly. However, CD1's bin file had a 1 minute+ intro from the group that kindly made the video file available. Once their "intro" is completed, the video stops. How do I access the remaining video that I know is attached to this 820MB bin file using VLC media player.

    Thanks for your help.

    Not sure that you can.

I think you will find that they fit fine onto 80min CDR's.

As a (S)VCD an 80min CD can hold 800MB's and CD images such as BIN/CUE's have a certain amount of overhead so say a 830MB BIN file will not necessarily be 830MB's when burnt.

you can access the rest of the video,
while the intro is playing click navigation at the top, you will see the rest of the file to play.
also you can use divxtodvd and put both .bins on one dvd

This might help! You can use VCD Gear to extract the video, and that will seperate the two mpg's from CD1, then if you have to, you can reencode the second mpg back to .bin.

    Problem solved.

The navigation option worked. The "intro" showed as Track 0 while the movie appeared as Track 1. I had to go to the navigation menu and select "Track 1" for the bin file to play.

    Thanks for the help.
