I've just been informed by a man who works for V.M that they are tracking web transactions over ebay etc for people buying boxes..I'm sure you know what boxes i mean :)

Is this possible? I'm with V.M and i dont particulary like the idea.

Is this something to be worried about or not?

I would imagine that when they raid the guys selling the boxes, they would have records of who bought boxes and when. They may be interested in the 'bulk' buyers but would be suprised if they got down to individuals.

Makes sense when you think about it as a fair majority of them would have been purchased over the net - especially ebay.

I am told. Virgin keep track of all ebay activity and then take it to the police as a fraud case, the police subpoena ebay for all names and addresses e.t.c. There were recently a load of arrests in Yorkshire

And they had nothing to do with Fleabay. And fleabay will not give out names and addresses I think you will find that quite illegal also.

well this is what the man says..

BTW what you said about it being illegal is rubbish, don't know how you came to that idea mate. When the police subpoena anybody they have to comply and according to bro that's how they are doing it, he says they are losing >£1M a year that's why it's being done. The police don't act illegally!!
