Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone could help me I have used ChopperXP to cut down a existing VOB file, and saved it as a VOB file after chopping it. The new vob file will play, in Power DVD, but when I try and burn it with Nero 6, it won't allow me to add the new chopped vob file to the list of files to be burnt, it says 'Only compliant DVD-video files can be added to the Video_TS folder.' Does anyone know why it refuses to allow me add this new chopped vob to the collection? By the way, it will allow the original vob file to be added in Nero 6 - why is this? Is there anything I can do? Thanks for any help Matthew
Extract the mpeg from the chopped .vob, and re-encode it to a compliant mpeg, then reauthor the whole project. You cannot edit a .vob successfully, and expect it to play (except maybe on the computer).
You Probably don"t need to re-encode the VOB file because the VOB file is allready DVD Compliant but because you have edited the VOB file it will no longer Corespond to the IFO and BUP files so you will have to re-author the whole DVD... You can Just Load all of the VOB files into a DVD Authoring Program and rebuild your Chapters and Menu"s and Reauthor to DVD.... Cheers
