    hi,

I am new to video editing, and need some help. I have extract a movie of a digital video recorder, with has been sorted in 3 .vob files and some other ones (i think .ifo & .bup) in a video_ts folder. i burn those files the dvd works fine. however in the middle of the movie there is like a 10sec blank screen. i wish to simply remove it.

How can i edit the .vob files and remove the 10sec gap, save it and the burn it to dvd? can someone tell me the simplist way todo this?

    Thanks in Advance guys

    regards

Once you try to edit the Vob file the IFO and Bup files become invalid so the Video will not Playback at all ,You probably will not be able to even Burn the files back to DVD because the Vob and IFO"s don"t properly correspond with each other..So if you Plan on editing the Vob files you will also have to re-author them to DVD useing a DVD authoring program, You can Probably even use the DVD Authoring Program to edit out the Part of the Vob you don"t like....
A good Editor for Mpeg2/Vob files is called "Mpeg2VCR"....Cheers
