I saw this same problem in this thread: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/222236 I ripped a DVD with DVD Shrink, twice, and both times Nero Burning Rom (6,6,1,4)returned the same messages mentioned in the other post. ""VOB file is not referenced and should not be present" "DVD video files reallocation failed" "DVD video files compliance ignored"" I used DVD Decrypter to rip the DVD as an ISO file, and everything worked out on the ISO burn. The other thread really didn't give an answer I could see. This is the first time I received this error message. I don't have much experience in this area, so I may be totally off base, but I seem to remember trying to burn a DVD using Nero 7 Burning ROM. You add files to the Video_TS folder to build the DVD. If you have a file that is not appropriate to making a standard DVD, you get a message stating the file will not be loaded, or something to that effect. I would think a file containing something extra, like language tracks or subtitles, or something similar might cause such a problem. You might check one of the DVD making forums to see if they have an answer if you can't resolve the issue otherwise.
the 'DVD video files compliance ignored' error means something hasn't been done correctly at the ripping stage, ie in DVD Decrypter/Shrink stage, Nero's simply moaning as it's detected a problem
