I use Samsung PC Share Manager to stream media from my laptop to my tv. The files & audio the LCD accepts are limited to say the least. Although it does accept .VOB files, it will only play AC3 audio.

The video and audio play fine via VLC media player on my laptop BUT the default audio is 5.1 (which i assume is the problem when i stream it to my tv). The video is beautiful HD quality but, again, there is no audio whatsoever.

Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

You might want to try posting this on a video forum if you do not get a responce here. I would try the Shrink forum or a DVD Video forum.

I read this thread in another forum, so correct me if I'm wrong but, the Samsung PC Share Manager does not support 5.1 audio..Might want to convert your audio source to AC3 2ch stereo..

Yep thats what i did. I used avidemux to convert it from 6 to 2 channel audio. Worked fine after that.
