voicemail logo wont go!!

    i have a motorola v186.. a friend recently called and left a msg, and i heard the msg.. i erased it, but the logo is still on the cell phone saying that i have a 'new' voicemail, from yesterday, which i already heard a million times!! when i call my voicemail, it says i have no new messages, nor any stored.. how can i get rid of this stupid logo?

    Have you tried taking the battery out and then putting it back in again after 30 secs?
