    Hey all

    Another 1 for you pro's.

My PVR in my living room works great, records programmes on schedule etc. However, if I want to watch another channel whilst it records one, it doesn't let me. (well, not quite) It does, however, let me select between a random 3 or 4 channels to view whilst recording.

I appreciate they weren't exactly on par with the Sky+ box but surely I should still get to view ALL other channels at the same time ?

    Any ideas ?

If the box is a twin tuner you should be able to record one channel while watching another but if it's only a single tuner (which I think is what you have) then you can't record a channel and then watch another

    hi

    thanks for your response

I wonder how that would work though. Surely it would stop me viewing all channels - in this instance it allows me to view a random few other channels....

does anyone know if the Eurovox EX5000 PVR is a single or dual tuner ? (thus giving me the answer to the point raised by sparty29)

    thanks all in advance

    Thanks again for your response.

I am still confused - as the spec says (in the link provided) a twin tuner would allow picture in picture capabilities are the ability to record 2 programmes at the same time.

However, I simply want to watch a different channel while recording 1... Surely if the single tuner wouldnt allow this, it wouldnt let me access the random few that it does, never mind the other dozens of channels !!

Any more help is obviously appreciated....
