I`m not sure if this is the right forum to post this in but im having problems with the updated versions of VSO's DivxToDvd. When I open the program it instantly crashes and closes on me. I downloaded an old version and it didnt crash, then i tried again with an updated just to check and it crashed. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?
Dont know how to fix it, but it kept crashing when I used to latest version to convert my movies...went back to using the old one!!
Hello everyone, VSO DivxToDVD v1.99.20.60 is the latest version. It also installs the latest driver (Patin Couffin v1.32) which fixed a lot of issues. http://download.vso-software.fr/vsoDivxToDVD_setup.exe I strongly suggest you use the latest if it was not the case. I'm very pleased with the latest, it fixed several issues I had (I'm a ßeta Tester for DivxToDVD). Start here, if your still having issues, let me know.
it's the latest version that im referring to. I just installed v1.99.20.60 and it crashed. v0.5.2 works fine though. Anything above that crashes when i try to open it though.
Hi there, v1.99.20 was released a few times. v1.99.20b, v1.99.20c and now v1.99.20d All updating Patin Couffin. If you wish to try again, make sure to redownload it, so on installs is says v1.99.20d Once installed, to make sure you have Patin Couffin v1.32, check in: "My Documents\PcSetup\PcSetup.log" It will tell you if v1.32 installed properly or not. If DivxToDVD still crashes, there's gotta be something else conflicting with it. If you get errors, write those down. Then we can get VSO to see what's going on ! If the application crashes, check also if there's any data in: "\Program Files\VSO\DivxToDVD" DivxToDVD.LOG & Crash.log Maybe there's something in there that can pin point us in a new direction. Good Luck !

Hello again, Question: Do you have a external CD and/or burner ? USB or Firewire ? VSO just released Patin Couffin v1.33 that fixes several Blue Screen Of Death relating to external burners. If you do have an external burner, DivxToDVD v1.99.20e I guess will come out soon to install Patin Couffin v1.33, I'll try to keep you posted !
I presume you paid for the latest update as it';s not free? Obviously it would crash if that's the case!
Hey cougar_ii, You may like to know that I just converted a good quality movie the other day with VSO 1.99.19.50 (that's what I've been having). It got to 1.51x. So I guess the quality of the movie clip matters. Take care, and Happy VSO promotion! *_*
