I have converted avi files using VSOConvertXtoDVD 3. When i burn the files onto a DVD-R and play it back in a DVD player there are lines running up and down the screen, the screen is black and white, and the picture flickers. This only happens with the new movies i download, not older ones. Why is this and what can i do?

When you play the burned disks on the PC, what's the result?

For the format (Video Standard) option in the settings (Under DVD specification) of ConvertXtoDVD i had it set on Automatic (Program decides format by source data). So the standard can be either PAL or NTSC. To b honest i don't know to much about this but when i download an AVI movie, it doesn't specify the region.

If you are in North America, it should be set 'NTSC', in EU or Australasia, PAL.

What he said. It makes no difference what the source is (most AVI downloads are 25fps which is seen as PAL). Set CXD to your standard.
