Downloaded DVDrip from LimeWire. Tried to burn a DVD with absSanta but could not open the Video stream frm Video_TS. Looked in download files and found subject vob. No path to open. Any advice ?
I am having a hard time understanding your problem. Did absSanta give you the file path error or Windows? Try playing your .vob files with a media player. If they play, then it could be that you do not have your DVD Files set up correctly. Also, make sure that for every vts_XX, you have 1 ifo and 1 bup. Ex: for vts_01_0.vob you should have vts_01_0.ifo and vts_01_0.bup. You only need one vts_01_0 ifo and bup for all the vts_01_x.vob files. Same goes for vts_02 and vts_03 etc... You should also have a video_ts.vob as well as its ifo and bup files.
Contents of file Video_TS - Video_ts ifo file 106kb -VTS_01_0 ifo file 12kb -VTS_01_1 vob file 446kb - VTS_02_0 bup file 12kb -Video_TS,bup bup file 106kb -VTS_01_0.BUP bup file 12kb -VTS_02_0 ifo file 12kb -VTS_02_1 vob file 134kb Yes, absSanta gave the error message. Tried to play on WMP 10 and only got audio portion of folder. Thanks for your help.
"VTS_01_1 VOB file 446kb" "VTS_02_1 VOB file 134kb" This is way smaller than it should be. It makes sense that you are only getting audio. 580KB will only be a few minutes of audio (if that much) or a couple of seconds of video. I do not think that you downloaded a video. Possibly someone replaced the files with something malicious. Make sure it is not vts_01_1.vob.exe or something like that. I always unhide known file extensions. Open an explorer window and go to tools=>Folders options then select view and find the "hide extensions for known file types" and uncheck it. There is also a chance whoever ripped the DVD, did it wrond or you only downloaded a small part of the menu or something. A DVD rip shouuld be around 3GB or larger not 1 MB. You can try to download it again, but maybe from a different source. Unless if you have more files that are .99GB or at least a couple hundred MB, you do not have any video or corrupted files.
Hey..after reading your last I am convinced that the person who ripped the file DVD did not do it properly and most of it is missing. You have been lots of help , thanks..bstroud end thread
