Read here. In your case you do not need AVGAS. Use SpySweeper instead. After, unzip the HijackThis file from the .zip folder to a permanent folder. well im scanning it with the pandasoft thing and its telling me theres spyware 13 Hacking Tools and potentially unwanted tools 2 Suspicious files 2 what does this mean?
Save and post the results when it finishes and we'll get rid of them if needed. Some things ActiveScan will pick up are okay, for example process.exe(belonging to SmitfraudFix) is called 'suspicious' because it can stop processes, but it is not bad.

Looks good. Just some cookies and files belonging to SmitfraudFix. Go here and download CCleaner. It will clean cookies and temp files. Install then open CCleaner. Click Options > Advanced > uncheck "Only delete Windows Temp files older than 48 hours". Click Cleaner > Run cleaner. Java is out of date. Go here and download [bold]Java Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 9[/bold] Uninstall all previous versions and updates of JRE 5.0. Restart then install [bold]Update 9[/bold] Edit: you can delete SmitfraudFix you do not want to keep it.
After clicking Download beside "Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 9" download "jre-1_5_0_09-windows-i586-p.exe". Is that the one you downloaded?
also another thing. theres this other thing called "photo gallery" that keeps wanting to install itself on start up. but everytime it does that, it errors itself and tries again until i ctrl+alt+dlt. what can this be? anything i can do to fix it?
dear niobis, ok i just want to say thank u for all the help u gave me today! i understand u must be very busy and im greatful that u took the time to help me out here. ill check back sometime and see whats going on. ttyl and keep up the amazing work. teisr ps: i should bake u a cake!!!
check in your msconfig startup to see if the photo gallery is there & if so uncheck than hit apply, ok & restart windows
Yeah, try what ddp said. Incase you don't know how to get to msconfig-go to Start > Run > type msconfig and click OK. The click on the Startup tab. And you're welcome.
