Hello All, I had a nasty virus attack my computer last week which I finally managed to remove. But this virus left my cd-rom drive not working correctly. When I insert cd-roms the drive starts up and the light blinks but when I open windows media player and try and access my cd-rom drive nothing shows up. I've tried accesing my cd-rom drive thru my iTunes account also and nothing happens. I also have an issue where I can't change my desktop background. The tab was actually missing at first but I was to get that restored but I've several times to "Enable" that tab so that I can change wallpapers but nothing to date has worked for me. Any advice that anyone could offer me would be appreciated. Thanks - MJ
Hi MJLarkin Please do the following in order: 1. Download CD ROM Drive Disabler (click here), install it, and enable your CD ROM drive. 2. Download this fix (click here) and run it. 3. Reboot your computer for the changes to take effect. Best Regards
