Wanna take a lQQksy at my Nero Burn Log? I get this write error half way through burn process.

I'm trying to backup a single, large 500 MB file of my system state: the catalog file used by NTbackup to restore registry and COM+ files. The caching and directory structure phases seem to complete w/o incident. Next, the "write track" phase begins and about 275 MB of the 503 are written before I get a "write error."

Anyone wanna take a look over the burn log and perhaps offer me some speckle of understanding why Nero completes fine with smaller files, but fails with this one LARGE file?

It should be noted that I performed a FULL erase procedure (that's FULL, the one that takes 25 minutes to complete) on the disc I used to be burned to in this log.

    Muchos Gracias!

your disk is made by CMC MAGs..... get better media!

you have the bear minimum in RAM and it is being used up..... do not multi task and try to shut unnecessary programs running in the background, even shut off your anti virus program while burning!

this Nero file eats up plenty of memory..... it checks up on who is trying to burn to CD....... this could interfere with burning process.... which leads me to this:

you are using Nero 6.6.0.16 and is not the stablest version of Nero 6.... use Nero 6.6.0.18 which is the stablest verion of Nero 6:

Before udating to 6.6.0.18 I would save the serial #, uninstall Nero, then use the cleaning tools : http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/eng/Clean_Tools.html
then do a registry clean up and defrag...... then reboot!

    install package one:
    ftp://ftp1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe
    then install package two:
    http://www.nero.com/nero6/eng/Patch_for_NVE3.html
reboot and you're good to go!

    hope this helps
