Want to boot onto usb

I have a dell with xp. Went into bios ,got to the boot sequence and clicked and saved the last one wich was my usb.But the sequence listed stayed the same and my usb was still last.

Does the sequence list change or am I doing something wrong. Its a 2gm sandisc cruzer micro just got today from radio shack it should be bootable but dosent say.

 

You need to actually move it to the top of the list. You also need to actually put something bootable on it.

 

this link shows how to use software to make a flashdrive bootable. Also like Sam says what you want to put on a flash drive must be something that your computer is capable of starting up off of.

Thanks im gonna lookat it. Im flashing my 360 trying to figure the boot from bios part and i think i have to lad iprep to my flash drve
