hey, i wanna downgrade my psp, and i heard it must get to 1.5 to use all the good stuff. heres what i have so far -the old(fat)psp -version 3.80 -lumines(the game) -1GB memory stick i alos downloaded this http://www.sendspace.com/file/ao6s5c and it says i can downgrade my 3.80 to a 1.50. i downloaded it, but im not sure how to use it...or if its legit since im a noob at all this firmware and downgrading stuff, it would be awesome if i could get some help on what i need to do. ive done a lot of searching, but if i could get some specific help, it would be a huge help!
You need Pandoras battery. See this. Just create it and you can get to 3.71m33 to "use all the good stuff."
thanks a lot. but just checking... it says i need a datel tool battery(since im not gonna hardmod it), but when i look online, it sells for at least 30$. does everyone have to pay this much?...and is it worth it?
If you have a friend with custom firmware he could just create one, it doesn't have to be datel. All you need is somebody with custom firmware PSP.
I think they skipped this part: PANDORA GUIDE: THOSE THAT HAVE 1.50 FIRMWARE PSP Go to Game Menu Memory Stick and run the Pandora Battery Creator. Press triangle to backup the battery eeprom. The PSP will then reboot to XMB. Run the Pandora Battery Creator again via Game Menu Memory Stick and press X to convert the Battery to service mode. The PSP will reboot to XMB. Turn off the PSP and take out the Battery then re-insert the Battery back in the PSP and the Universal Unbricker Menu should come up. press X to install 3.71 M33 to the PSP. After the custom firmware is installed take out the Battery and plug the PSP in via AC Adapter and turn the PSP on (without the Battery inserted). After the PSP boots to XMB place the Battery into the PSP and go to Game Menu Memory Stick and select OS Pandora Battery Tool. You will get a warning screen just press X to get to the Main Menu. When the Main Menu comes up go to "flash only serial from mso:/eeprom.bin" Go to Quiet Now and it will exit to the XMB. Now turn off the PSP and unplug it from AC Adapter. Now Take out the Battery then re-insert the Battery replacing the battery cover and use as normal now.. Turn off the PSP and take out the Battery then re-insert the Battery back in the PSP and the Universal Unbricker Menu should come up. press X to install 3.71 M33 to the PSP.
