I played with the program a little and find it to be of great use, but there is one thing the instructions didnt mention which is what I really need it for. I tried the append all/selection to... & realized that it attaches the file to the beginning of whatever mp3 file you are trying to use but what I cannot do is to tell the program exactly where I want the audio file.. Thank you for all your current help already....
Cut the file you want to save the section in the middle of in two pieces at the point where you want to insert and save the pieces to files. (Save the section you want to insert to a file too.) Now you have 3 files: 1st_part.mp3, section.mp3, 2nd_part.mp3. Join these 3 files in this order.
