try to latest version of dvdfab decrypter to rip(theres a update today!) then run the file though fixvts next transcode with dvd shrink and burn with imgburn http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/494836
A LOT of us have backed this movie up. All you need to do is use anydvd + shrink. I did it before the disc officially came out and before there was a thread on here about "war". I highly recommend you PURCHASE anydvd. It is well worth it.
I ripped it with DVDFabHD4032 and ran it through fixVTS, but DVDshrink just keeps failing as it consumes all of the physical and virtual memory on my system until it runs out. I won't be home to access the disc again for a few weeks and am now trying VOBblanker. It plays fine in shrink, but I want to watch it on my TV, not my laptop. I have the new DVDFab4050 now but don't know if I can reprocess it from my DVDFabHD ripped directory again without the original disc. I don't want to buy AnyDVD, CloneDVD, or Ripit4ME since This is the first DVD "EVER" to have me stumped for this long.
Hey guys, new here, but stop by the page all the time. some great info here. i have a problem with this film and hope someone can help. whenever i put this dvd in to burn, my pc will not even read that i have a disc in. any ideas on how to fix this? Nether Anydvd or fab pick up anything. They say the tray is empty. Any help would be much appreciated
That is pretty much what you'll see until you update DVDFabHDDecryptor to the latest version that recognizes the disc structure. Version 4.0.5.0 was required to even recognize "War" or "3:10 to Yuma"
i have Version 4.0.5.1 beta on now, will that not work, or do i need to go back and reinstall Version 4.0.5.0?
just put Version 4.0.5.0 back on and the pc still does not read a disk? any other ideas? thanks for the help by the way
none of the above. second disc i got today of the same film and it plays on my player, and have burned 4 other movies counting saw 4 and no problem with that one. any other reason why it would not read the dvd?
MrFrost_ - looks like you'd better stop posting, Rent & Burn is not allowed here, come back and post when you have a bought dvd you want to discuss
Too late, i've made my comment. MrFrost_ - i can't stop you reading the posts to fix your problems but i can stop you posting, and i suggest you stop.
Once again my apologies to everyone, would never want to get anyone or the board in trouble. including myself for that matter
