Hi all, I watch my DVDs on a PC computer but have encountered an audio problem on my new computer which seems to be unique to Warner Brothers blu-ray movies. Video shows great, and audio is likely to be great in previews, but becomes completely unintelligible in the main movie. My DVDs play fine on this computer but I have no none-Warner Bros. blu-rays to test with at the moment. Specs of problem computer: i7 cpu, 6GB DDR3 ram Creative audigy gamer PCI sound card LG blu-ray player/burner Software: Corel Windvd 9 plus blu-ray (latest driver) Operating system: Win 7 RC 64bit When I take the LG blu-ray player out and place it in my previous computer, the audio on those Warner Brothers DVDs plays fine. Specs on computer that works: Q6600 cpu, 4GB memory Onboard HD audio Software PowerDVD for Blu-ray Operating system: Vista 32bit Any suggestions appreciated. Could it be a filter problem? Could it be a problem with the Corel DVD software? Thanks!
Mystery partially solved.... I installed a trial version of PowerDVD9 and sound works fine playing blu-ray dvds on my new computer. Does anyone know how to cure the sound issue I'm having with Corel WinDVD9? I'd prefer to keep the software rather than buy new software. I tried the Arcsoft player, but the trial version had Dolby code stripped and no sound at all with any DVDs. I'd rather not buy a product I can't test first.
