got wasabi chip with wii-clip on the above site all when well as far as getting the part very fast service. Took wii apart installed chip solder f point. started wii up , dvd drive will not eject or read original disc. Checked all cables everything looked good. Removed wii clip, same results no go on dvd ejection or reading. dvd makes noise and moves for 1/2 second then nothing. message pops up on tv saying to eject disc and read my manual.

Same thing happened to me. I soldered the chip and clip and the drive will not run, take off clip reset Wii and drive runs fine. This is second Wii I have done the first one worked just fine. I didn't solder the clock wire to the clip but intead I ran the long clock wire. I read that a capacitor could fix the problem. Any feed back would help thanxxxxxxxx...

    Hey BestBuy12,

Yeah, you can try the cap fix. The one you want is 47.0 uf 35 volts. You solder the positive end to K and the negative to alternate ground. You can look at the schematics for the D2pro to find the ground that it uses. The cap can fix a timing issue known with some D2C Wii's. Are you seeing a solid red light on the Wasabi? That could indicate a timing issue and the cap could fix it.
    Hope it helps!

sorry took so long to get back to you guys modem. i took it to a local guy and he didn't use the wii clip he solder it to the dc2 chip. he had problems with drive not ejecting and said it was a wire that needed to be shorten. Not sure which wire. works good now. Only problem is it seems to be slugish on remote response but on some games resident evil4 mostly and boo blox basically timing games. but other not sure if that has anything to do with chip.
