I am interested in downloading some recent episodes of Lost from the itunes store, and I was wondering if I can also watch these episodes on my computer screen? If so, what program would I use? Are these videos simply mp4 files? Can I watch them on my PSP as well? What resolution are they displayed in?

I am not interested in downloading the shows via torrents or any of that; I am specifically interested in the itunes downloads.

    Thanks!

"I was wondering if I can also watch these episodes on my computer screen"- To answer your question, you will be able to watch the episodes of Lost on your computer screen, and you will be using Quicktime which comes with iTunes when you downloaded it.

"Are these videos simply mp4 files?" -These are MP4 files, so you will not be able to view them in any other way by using a different application (Windows Media Player etc) but if you wanted to, you could buy a converter.

I dont think you would be able to watch them on your PSP beacause the movies that are downloaded from iTunes are coded in MP4 format, which means that you would need to somehow get Quicktime onto your PSP because Quicktime is the only application (That I know of) that views MP4 files. Or, as I said, you could probably buy a converter, which might help with putting it on.

I'm not sure what resolution the videos are displayed in, sorry. Maybe Lethal B could help you on this.

    Waymon,

Thanks for the quick reply! I appreciate the info.

If anyone does have info on the display resolution of the ipod videos, that would be great as well. Basically, I want to know if it will look like crap if I pop it up to full screen on my 19" monitor.

Ah, yes, it does look like crap. Streight forward, I have a 19" too, and the resolution sucks, but when you make the video smaller, it gets better. It looks very good on an iPod though...

    320x240 (4:3)

your average 19" monitor is around 1208x1024pixels. Being stretched at four times it's size will most definetely pixellate playback.

no, you can make them bigger (full screen etc) but as I said before, the resolution gets worse as you make the picture bigger.

oops, I wasnt thinking, I meant that you CAN make the picture bigger than it is on your iPod. So, in other words, on your computer, you can make the picture of the video bigger, but the bigger you make it, the more blurry and messed up it gets.

Sorry for the last post, i wasnt thinking..lol
