I just bought a 22" Acer monitor that was on sale at Best Buy (my old one was 9 years old) and was wondering why some movies look pixelated when played full screen thru Nero? Is it that no matter the brand of monitor that it just can't compete with a good TV? Of course, if I watch a VTS folder thru Nero in about 1/4 the size it looks great. I've set the monitor to the optimum setting and played around with the Nero settings, but I was wopndering if I can do anything else to make the full-screen picture qaulity better?

Actually no TV can compete with a monitor. DVD vidio is much lower resolution than other things you see on your monitor. It may look fine on a TV because you are not looking so close. A monitor is actually like super High Definition. The monitor is showing the lack of resolution of DVD video.
