water cooler to this rig

    hi I bulit a pc not so long ago and i am thinking of adding a water cooler to my rig. but do you think my processor is running hot @ 68 c. if i was to add a water cooler would this solve my problems what the heat from my CPU , and can some one please tell me the pro and cons of having one and would you kindly recermend one that not to expensive. so heres what i have.

    AMD ATHALON DUAL CORE 4200+ @ 2.2GHZ
    ASROCK ALIVE-NF6G
    NVIDIA 8600GT 512MB
    4GIGS DDR2 RAM
    SATA DVD ROM
    IDE DVD RW (SONY)
    SEAGATE SATA 80GIG
    MAXTOR 80GIG IDE

    If that's the temperature of the individual cores it could be better but it's acceptable. If it's the temperature of the CPU itself though, it's too hot. Watercooling is a serious undertaking though, and needs to be done precisely to avoid big problems. Your best bet is probably to buy a bigger CPU cooler, it'll be far cheaper, safer and easier.

    hi would you recermend a good mid range one for that will bring my temp right and can you also recermend one for a graphics card.

    thanks for that, there cool just order the artic cooler from aria now should have it in about 3 days. as for the graphics cooler it will have to wait for now but i am going to be getting one. just one more question it just found my overclocking setting in my bios, but would you overclock my processor to 2.54ghz do you think that is safe and i think that artic cooler would help.

    Ps do i have to get anythhing elese with it or do i just use cpu paste the same as a normal heat sink.

    As I said, Aria don't offer anything very good, not that they don't offer anything at all. Nonetheless for a a card like the 8600GT you shouldn't experience any issues. For overclocking help post in the official overclocking thread.
