I had an interesting experience backing up my copy of Waterloo. It is not a PAL format, but the dvd label is in english and with what I take to be either korean or japanese. I used dvd decrypter and it was about 4.3 gb. It burned at 2x fine, but when it got to the "synchronising cache", it stayed there for 5 minutes. I finally cancelled. the dvd plays fine on my dvd player. Then I used dvd shrink and burned at 2x. It burned fine but when it got to "writing lead-out" it sat there untill I finally cancelled. This dvd also plays fine in my stand alone dvd player. all backups before and since burn normally, without the stalling at the end. Anyone have an idea what the problem is or had this with the dvd waterloo?? Just curious and I suspect it has something to do with the fact that it came from the far east.

I think your last statement may have a lot to do with your problem, sounds like a cheap copy that has been badly burnt.

If the disc is already a pirate copy all you need do is use the DVD copy option in Nero to backup the disc. Make sure the disc is cleaned with soft tissue paper before you use it.
