so i can use this program just like i would use divxtodvd and then use say dvd shrink or nero to burn? that would be amazing. all i want is that watermark off the screen. i didnt see any other threads about it, so everybody must be doing something diff than i am, or just not speaking up about it. so if this will do the trick i cant thank you enough. other than thati was just going to purchase one of the programs which i dont mind doing but as long as i can get it free why not, right!

    thanks
    shaun

It is the freeware version of VSO DivxToDVD. Just follow the link I gave you, but be sure to download the freeware version instead of the commerical shareware version.

    Good luck!

    Hello 3ptchamp,

VSO released a free preview version in the past, last version was v0.5.2b

It did an excellent job at the time, and still does.

VSO since then has been working on a shareware version v2.00

Latest version is v1.99.24 Pre-Release, and it has a whole wack of new stuff in it.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------
    VSO DivxToDVD v1.99 Pre-Release will:

    - Convert all your internet movies (.AVI / .MPG etc..) to DVD Format

    - Add subtitles (using .srt files / More formats to come in future releases)

    - Add chapters to each files

    - Create a menu (Menu entry for each file, based on the filename, for now)

    - Burn your DVD creation to media, with it's own built in burn engine

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

A major new version is to come out very very soon, that will fix most known issues.

    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/269989

Running the shareware version is [bold]demo mode[/bold] will run 50% slower, because it will encode this watermark in the video.

So it's a matter of choice, some people will use the freeware version, and burn with Nero.

I have decided to [bold]pay[/bold] for the shareware version, and get all the new features.

    - Subtitles
    - Chapters
    - Menus
    - Built in burn engine etc...

Well, so long as it worked. Nothing wrong buying a program that's worth it......... just still wondering why it's not the freeware version. *_*
