ok i searched and didnt find anything on this. i updated to the newest version of divxtodvd and before with the old version everything was perfect. but now with the newer version i have the free trail watermark on the top of the screen. my question is without purchasing the program which i think i might have to do, cause i cant seem to find anything....what can i do? ive looked everywehre and cant find anything. i dont have the serial number to the old version. so what can i do?
You may try the freeware version of VSO. It encodes equally well, but does not burn. That you can do with e.g. Nero or any other program: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/vso_divxtodvd_free.cfm Good luck!
so i can use this program just like i would use divxtodvd and then use say dvd shrink or nero to burn? that would be amazing. all i want is that watermark off the screen. i didnt see any other threads about it, so everybody must be doing something diff than i am, or just not speaking up about it. so if this will do the trick i cant thank you enough. other than thati was just going to purchase one of the programs which i dont mind doing but as long as i can get it free why not, right! thanks shaun
It is the freeware version of VSO DivxToDVD. Just follow the link I gave you, but be sure to download the freeware version instead of the commerical shareware version. Good luck!
Hello 3ptchamp, VSO released a free preview version in the past, last version was v0.5.2b It did an excellent job at the time, and still does. VSO since then has been working on a shareware version v2.00 Latest version is v1.99.24 Pre-Release, and it has a whole wack of new stuff in it. ------------------------------------------------------------------- VSO DivxToDVD v1.99 Pre-Release will: - Convert all your internet movies (.AVI / .MPG etc..) to DVD Format - Add subtitles (using .srt files / More formats to come in future releases) - Add chapters to each files - Create a menu (Menu entry for each file, based on the filename, for now) - Burn your DVD creation to media, with it's own built in burn engine --------------------------------------------------------------------- A major new version is to come out very very soon, that will fix most known issues. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/269989 Running the shareware version is [bold]demo mode[/bold] will run 50% slower, because it will encode this watermark in the video. So it's a matter of choice, some people will use the freeware version, and burn with Nero. I have decided to [bold]pay[/bold] for the shareware version, and get all the new features. - Subtitles - Chapters - Menus - Built in burn engine etc...
hey thanks for the links. the link that you gave me was the same one i had before i updated. that was perfect. i have done two conversions and works perfect. and i was thinking about just buying the program to get all the extras. so thanks again for the link.
Well, so long as it worked. Nothing wrong buying a program that's worth it......... just still wondering why it's not the freeware version. *_*
