SUPER is another free alternative, although I personally use DVD Flick and have on issues with it. It could be a disc issue, what brand are you using?
you should use convertxtodvd, and just buy the program and thain you won't have to worry about having a watermark on your dvd's
Xilisoft avi to dvd works well. That's what I use tried DVD Flick and had more problems with quality and sound then I could deal with. Just check out all the ones that have been listed, most of them have a free downloadable version and you can see which works best for what your trying to do and is more user friendly for you
