My xbox got banned, but my girlfriends didn't so here's the lowdown. lol

- Drive Type - She had a lite-on originally, but swapped out for Benq
- Games played - Many, too many to list. 1 Wave 4 game which was Dragon Age Origins
- Verification level (2 or 3?) - Verification 2
- How games were acquired (torrent/original) a mixture of both
- Location (country) - We're in the UK! ^o^
- ixtreme version: 1.6 uptil 2 weeks ago when I reflashed with 1.61
- was connected to PC SATA? It was connected to my PC with PCI Sata card
- Flash powered by connectivity kit or xbox: Connectivity Kit
- Played pre-release games: Guitar Hero Van Halen and Halo 3 ODST
- Games installed to HDD - Yes all of them

One more thing, she hadn't been on xbox live since she played Dragon age and she was a lil worried about getting banned on live so I flashed her drive with the original firmware for Benq spoofed with her Drive key before she signed into live. She didn't get banned so that's an upside! ^o^

Edit - Nope, she's been banned now. A lil disappointed coz I thought we may have dodged it. lol

 

Hi i'm not sure if anyone else has had this in their home.......

we have 3 xbox's rigged up in our house:

1/ Mine (dad) lite-on 7 series @ 10months old on 1.6fw

2/ Sons lite-on 7 series @ last xmas on 1.6fw

3/ Sons Hitachi 59 in a 2008 chassis on 1.51fw

I've modded all 3 on the same pc using the same CK3 unit and we all play the same backed up games either verified at source or by me after making a 2nd gen copy. Also no games have been played before release (i make sure of that)

my lads xboxs were both banned yesterday yet mine remains ok? They are all networked through a set of homeplugs and all use the same single entry into the router, so all use the same ports to access live.

also played patch games from wave3 to wave2 online as well. Had 3 friends w/ lite on drives get banned, other benq drive not banned.

 

Everyone is going to get banned, ours was fine throughout this whole mess 2 hours ago working fine then all of a sudden 2 minutes ago banned.

 

Damn, you know we're all screwed if he's banned...

Ok, I have a modded system and I have played back-ups online up until last week. I also have a non-modded system which I transfer my HDD back and forth between. Now, I sign into XBL on my non-modded system to watch Netflix and pay retail games online. I played some back-ups online but I stopped once the ban hammer fell. Since last week my modded console has not gone online once, hasn't even had an ehternet cord plugged into it. I am however, still playing offline back-ups on it. Being that this modded system has been online in the past and using my gamertag, do you think I can still have my gamertag banned? My modded system will not be connecting to XBL until things calm down, or maybe never again. Do you think they can go back and see at one point I was playing back-ups online, or am I safe until I do it again? So far I have not been banned, but this is because only my non-modded system has been online. Sorry if this is confusing.

 

Quick question,

How many of us non banned are only really playing 1 game?

I've been playing Borderlands religiously. My gaming history shows me as playing one game till i finish it. could it be a change in our behavior thats flagging us?

I got banned on a modded xbox playing the original copy of mw2 was totally fine yesterday got home today tried to connnect banned straight away

 

Seriously now maybe they have known all this year 1.5 was not constructed properly we know that... christmas is comming bang microsoft get us all so they get a tidy profit for christmas it seems a bit of a coincidence thousands and thousand been banned just before christmas this one is worse than last year!!!!

Update most people ahve had the drive spin up before been banned!!! Think we found the source FW to slow so evryone is at risk. Not confirmed but definately strong.

I'm now starting to beleive that they can indeed detect what Firmware we have!!! I'm am so squeeky cleen with everything. From originals and Bang Bang!! They shot me down, from day one we all knew this could happen. Would be interesting if anyone actualy gets past this ban wave.

Is it true that if a console gets banned from live it also loses some offline functionality?

 

Yeh, you cant install/run games from the HDD and you cant access any DLC you have downloaded.

Now for my question.

If you havent been banned already, if you do not connect to live until Iextreme LT comes out, and then flash with that, do you think you would get banned?

Or does you console just get added to a list so the next time you log on to live it gets you, no matter what FW?

If your console is flagged for ban, next time you sign into live you will be banned. There is no way of telling if your console is flagged or not.
