    On behalf of my friend,
His JVC dvd player used to be connected to his Epson projector. It used to throw a good 16:4 image from its wall mount 18 feet away. The new sony player when used at that distance and throwing the same image makes the darn thing all elongated. we can’t find an option on the dvd player to convert it to 16:4.

There is a function on the Epson TW20 called aspect. When we switch it to zoom or stretch - The image is perfect. Only problem is - its to darn big! And the lens shift can’t reduce it.

Problem in a sentence: Is there a way to configure it so the auto/normal mode will not be so elongated? Your help is needed.

Do you mean 16:9? If so the Sony has to have a place to set it for 4:3 or 16:9.
