weird dvd drive noise

For the past few months ive noticed when my drive is spinning down from readimg it makes a noise. Sounds like a kazoo. Its not scratching the disk or anything. Im thinking it could be the drive motor? any ideas?

 

honestly, mine used to do that as well, but then it finally just stopped.

Have you tried sitting it vertical?

 

I dont like it vertical since it blocks the air from flowing in there.

 

actually, MS engineers have given interviews that said when the console is vertical, it allows for better cooling of the console.
