i have this problem when trying to playback divx and xvid movies - everything had suddenly turned more reddish that usual. I don't know why. i didn't change anything at all, didn't install anything new or any new codecs / codec packs.

i have koepi's xvid (www.xvidmovies.com) installed as well as the divx installer from www.divx.com.

i was watching an episode of smallville season 3 when i noticed it. at first i thought it might be the episode itself but later i realised all my movies were playing back that way!

please help! i tried reinstalling my codecs and stuff but to no avail. i use WMP 10 and have tried using other players too but they all have the same problem

Hello, I am also having the same problem. I tried to play around with the settings for the contrast, brightness within the "Divix Settings Manager" but I can't get rid of the problem.

    thank you for any help

Ok, I have figured out how to solve this problem.

I have recently installed new video drivers for my Geforce mx420, and they were causing the playback problem.

I played around with the settings within the Nvidia Control Panel, under the "Video and Television" category. Then I selected the "Adjust video color settings" link and clicked on "Restore Defaults".

Now my .avi's play normal and the picture is clean.
