Sorry, I have no idea where is the right place to post this. If it belongs somewhere else, please move it, and let me know. I have a camcorder that records onto DVDs, and I use Xilisoft DVD ripper to rip the DVDs to my computer in AVI format. The AVI file works perfectly in Windows Media Player, and all other media players that I have. Here's my problem: When I import the video into Adobe Premiere Pro (to edit), for some reason, there is NO SOUND! However, when I import other videos, there is sound, so I know it's a specific problem with the AVI files I ripped. This leads me to believe that there's something screwy with the audio codec, or something to do with how I ripped the DVD. I tried changing around the audio settings when ripping, but that didn't work. Please, if you have any suggestions, help! This is extremely frustrating! -Nick
Here is a screenshot of Xilisoft, which is what I've been using to rip the DVD files into AVI movies. It shows what audio settings I've been using (although I've tried many different settings, and none worked). http://www.nicholassmorgan.com/pics/xilisoft.png
