So I have recently been having a problem with some wii games. I can load backups fine... but 1-3 minutes into playing the screen will go black and give me the unable to read disc check manual. This is happening on games that I have played with 0 errors ever. It just started happening and seems to be a trend on any game Im playing. Originals seem to be working fine though, although I only have Wii sports. I have an Argon Chip, should I try to re-update the chip? Is it possible that I need to clean the lense? Im using Verbatim DVD +R's... any other information from anyone would be arppreciated. Thanks in advance.
If there's been no recent update to your Wii firmware or Argon then it would suggest the lens may well be dirty but any recent change to the Wii/Argon might affect the reading of previously OK disks and in that case another type of media might be advised. However, first check there isn't another more recent update for the Argon than your current one first as that might well clear up your issue. Verbatim DVD-R is what I generally recommend myself.
well it seems older games I have made work fine still but anything new I burn is not working too well. Do you think my burner is the problem? It is only like 7 months old its a 112d pioneer burner... anyone have any suggestions?
Using exact media I always have, verbatims. Tried a DL game and regular both wont work. I am up to date on my argon.. everythings fine.
