I have what I think is an unusual and perhaps harmless problem regarding Windows 7. It's really bothering me, though. I have a home network with 3 PC's on it. I recently installed 64-bit Windows 7 on one of them. The other two have 32-bit Windows XP. About 5-7 days after installing it, all three port lights/connections on the router (not wireless) didn't start flickering or blinking rapidly, but rather intermittently refreshing is the best way I can describe it. Every time this particular PC is off or in sleep mode, the port lights/connections on the router stop "refreshing" and return to staying lit in a solid state as they normally did prior to above-mentioned installation. I'm pretty sure this wasn't happening in the first few days after installation. Maybe it was an update that caused this? I know a clean install is an option as well as system restore, but I want to see if anyone has encountered this problem and found a resolution without having to do one or the other.
Check you router manufactures website. Windows 7 has multiple problems using vista and lower drivers, programs, etc. Your manufacture may have a windows 7 patch
