Does anyone else have this problem? When I go to boot DVD, it says Please wait.... and the disk never stops spinning. This probably happens 4 out of 10 times, so it's VERY frustrating. Is there any reason for this anyone knows about? Thanks!! I am using the newest bios and software.

It is also possible that the first boot may end in a disc reading error, thus requiring to reboot cube.

OK I have had this problem and found these
    possible solutions

    1. Wait until the Laser is in the middle before
you press the A button to boot a DVD (count to 3)
    2. Use Mario Games (Sunshine, SmashBros etc etc) to Boot.

When I started doing this. I had NO spinttroughs.. (new word - heheh).

If this is a known issue with the viper bios why would booting a Mario game work??

I don't Know why a Mario Game would Work.
It's just out of Experience that I'm Sharing this
    Information.

I have no Technical Explination for it.
But If sth works for me I stick with it.

I use my free loader disc, any disc I've tried has worked the same for me, the thing is you have to wait long enough for the reader to do it's startup thing, basicaly until it stops making a bunch of noise and the laser finally settles in one location, but the trick is after it's done that if you don't hit A quick enough after it won't work. You have about 10 seconds, if you don't hit it in time the disc will never stop. I got used to the timing and it works every time.
