Western Digital Passport not recognized by PC

    My Western Digital External Passport drive wont show on my Computer.

    The light comes on when it is plugged in but I keep getting an 'Unsafe Removal of Device'(you have unplugged or ejected a device without stopping it) box open up repeatedly. The pc does not recognize the device.

    Any help please - I'm a novice!

    Have you tried another USb cable?
