Saw this as an idea to use as my Master HD instead of my Seagate 320 7200 SATAII 16MB cache to aid in multitasking etc. I see it for 199 after rebate, thinking it might be a good deal. Is it a worthwhile investment?
if you can afford it, get it, they are not the best value for money but you get what you pay for. they dont come any quicker than the raptors
I won't use 7200 rpm drives anymore after using raptors. If you want speed then thats the way to go, unless you go to scsi which are even more expensive.
Thanks for the advice, just confirmed what seemed already kinda obvious. Gonna take the $200 plunge and get it. Many thanks
You won't be dissapointed. The warranty is very good as well if required, WD send one to you before you have to send the old one back, and then the 5 year warranty starts all over again.
