Music DVD or Normal DVD, Shrink will see them the same, have you checked your DMA settings? That's were I would start. Here's some infor on how to check/change your DMA settings: http://www.michna.com/kb/WxDMA.htm

    RE:Resizing

*I'm assuming that you are using snagit 7*

You go to snagit editor and find the resizing tool, and then you increase the pixels.

    The slow encoding/analyzing:

When was the last time you defraged your HD, MS's defragging software is ok but not as effecient w/ the movement of files as a store bought software. You also can download a 30 day free trial of Prefect disk 7.

And get rid of spyware/malware, you can dl Ad-Aware from lavasoft, which is arguebly the best free (or not free for that matter) spyware/malware remover. and check that DMA too.

Everytime I rip a movie to my HD I have to defrag it, you'd be surprised how much effect one movie can have on your HD. I too have an 80GB. And make sure you do that spy/malware thing, first time I ran Ad-Aware I got 80 criticals.

Of course you can always try to uninstall and then reinstall shrink.
