I encoded AVI files to mpebg in the past with no problems but now I can't seem to get it to work I encode with TMPG and it comes out the same way it went in.

I would like someone to help me figure out what the heck I'm doing wrong.

I need step by step directions how to do this.

I must be missing something or I'm extremly stupid.

Well first thing the file has an extention of TS.AVI. I try to encode it and it say's MPEG after the encoding process has been completed. I tried to burn it with Prassi DVD and I'm getting this, unsupported it needs to be in NTSC 352X240 Hz or Pal 352x288 25Hz or Film 352x240 29.97. What I did was go to TMPG and followed the criteria and it still say's unsupported. I completely baffled.
