What Are ISO Images?

    Im totally new on this site i was just wondering if someone could explain what and ISO image is and do i need a image recorder.

    Im no sure exactly what it stands for but if you copy a movie using software like DVD SHRINK it will put an image of that movie onto your hard drive which can then be pulled back off onto a blank DVD.

    no probs but you will also find many other terms mentioned if you just check the glossary tab at the top of the screen

    Hi there,

    Found this on a webpage:

    International Organization for Standardization (ISO)

    But the letters are inverted, go figure !!!

    In the computer world, an .ISO file is basicly a CD/DVD Image that contains lots of file, just like a .ZIP file has lots of files in 1 zipfile...

    Man that's of lot of files in files <grin>...
