USB keyboard (handy if you play online thats for sure) And Also the PS2 Light Guns thats all ive used it for, but I think the Eye toy also plugs into those
It gets deeper than that though you can plug a male to male usb connector which is for the GameShark code enhancers to your computer for transfers.You can use the usb pen drives to install memory card exploits and even use it for ARMax which is another code device.It has alot of possibilities,but from what I have seen with the new pstwo system is kinda bad.It doesn't have the USB 2.0 ports which could mean slow transfer speed.It has been confirmed on some sites I have looked at,but there is alot of stuff for the USB ports on the PS2.
yeah eyetoy..... its pretty much pointless. who the hell would use a keyboard for the ps2???? does anyone know what the other whole is for? (wierd he posted like a minute befor me:S) i read on the pstwo that there making a usb loader, a hdloader only with usb hds... i would think that would be drematticly slow wouldnt you?... isnt ide like a whole piss load faster?
Yeah I agree punx777 IDE is alot quicker for hdd use.I think this could mean more problems getting games to work also if the speed is not fast enough.I have no clue at the moment how quick the usb loader will be,but hopefully it proves me wrong in speed wise.
I bought a USB keyboard specifically becuase in Midnight Club 2, and Socom 1 and 2 online, You need to type, and using the PS2 controller takes about 10x as long as a keyboard I don't see a point using it when you don't play online, but for talking online, and entering your name and password to login online its actually usefull Though i basically leave my 2 Light Guns plugged into those ports now, cause I don't play online much anymore
Oh ok well I guess I will probably never use them then. I wish you could connect a usb hard drive to xfer games back and forth from your comp to ps2....lol. My hdloader drive is full and I dont want to start taking hard drives in and out...lol
Ah Logitech never fails. So a Logitech USB k/board will work, will a mouse(if you can use the mouse and k.board for FPS's and socom or ghost recon 2 online). Wahey, thank goodness it's nearly january... I can plunder me some steering wheel in the sales. I sold my ferrari one with my DC(can't remember the maker but it wasn't usb, Damm!) Are there any PS2 specific Steering wheels?
The only thing I use it for is Codebreaker. It is such a time saver to download codebreaker codes to the pen drive and then transfer them to a memory card. Some games have over 2000 codes. That would take forever to type in by hand. Plus it allows you to tranfer game saves as well.
Does the new SLIM PS2 have USB, if so can that be used to like add a HDD somehow anyone know abuot any developments on the HDD for the new SLIM PS2 compatability for HDD if so pls PM me thx
I actually plugged in laptop cooler into it and the PSTwo sits on top of it. Why do u ask? Just to make me feel better as it keeps the unit cooler .. its summer here =P
