Hi. Was wondering if there are any other benefits (besides time) to copying and burning directly onto a disc vs. ripping to hard drive and burning to a disc.
In my honest opinion, this is a practise I would NOT recommend, it's called burning on the fly and you stand an even chance of the burn failing.
It's not worth the risk. Just rip the original movie onto the hdd, and then burn a copy of it. What's the big deal? Besides, how much time do you save by burning on the fly? With CD's it's okay, since they're so small (700 mb) but with DVDs, we're talking anywhere from 4.3 gigs to 8.5 gigs. It's wayyy to big to chance.
