True, but because Shrink hasn't been updated in years there will probably be an issue with newer encryptions. DVDFab (free) or AnyDVD (shareware) are needed and will also rip to the HDD first which I think Shrink can't do (could be wrong) and is better than on the fly, I think.

Try Handy Backup, it's reliable DVD backup program. I have used several backup programs for years, and I recommend Handy Backup. Hope it will work for you too.
I personally use DVD Shrink. It works fine on all of the DVDs I've ripped. It is simple and straightforward, I would recommend this program.
