what are the best programs to use on top of AnyDvd

i went out and bought AnyDVD and CloneDVD. With AnyDVD running in the background, what combo. of freeware (or CloneDVD) should be used? Tell me if this sounds good: Encrypt with DVD Decrypter, burn with Nero Recode???

 

AnyDVD and CloneDVD are all that you need. If you want, you can use DVD Shrink with burning by DVD Decrypter, imgburn or Nero, or Recode and burn with Nero. Many choices for you.....All I ever use now are the first two....

You will get better picture quality when using Recode2 and Shrink compared to clonedvd2.

But if you want fast copies of your movies then clonedvd2 is the one to use.

EDIT: anydvd has been made to be fully compatible with clonedvd2

 

how compatible is AnyDVD with DVDDecrypter and Nero? (Those are the two that work best for me)

 

You need to set up dvd decrypter to work properly with anydvd.

Under tools then settings I/O select ElbyCDIO then while still on the settings goto CSS and under CSS cracking method choose none.

I have had no problems when using anydvd with Nero Recode2.

I would avoid CloneDVD if you have to do any compression. I can see pixelation at even 95% compression. DVD Shrink is what I use. CloneDVD is good if you want to split episodes of series onto 2 discs and keep the menus.

 

If i have AnyDVD running in the background, does Nero usually work as an encrypter, and a burner?

 

I would not avoid DVDClone. I do not get pixelation even at 50% compression. Those who do are probably having a media type/burn speed problem....
