What box in kildare

I got starview 3s and got 1 for my uncle in kildare now he has cable but had sky i was just wonering do the boxes work there or is it dif fimware and also is there a box that you can hook up to your satalite and get all the channels without subscription

 

also if there is firmware cud u piont me towards it and its direct cable its saying no signal

 

You dont state where you are in Kildare, parts of Kildare are on MMDS and some on cable, if you are on Chorus MMDS, the SV3 wont work, you need the BOX T or similar.

The superbox will work on True cable NTL and NTL MMDS and Chrorus true cable, just becuase you have a cable comeing into your house it doesnt mean your on true cable, down the country a lot of estates have one MMDS atennae for the whole estate. You need to clarify a bit more as what you have posted in vague

regarding the sat question, the answer is yes and no, you will get a lot of stuff, but you wont get the Sky package

 

its johnstown co kildare and im not sure what cable it is then, is there anyway of known without raising suspicion

if you have a box already from UPC, just look underneath it, if not just ring em tell em your interested in digital and ask will you need an aerial on the house, if yes, then its MMDS, sneaky, I know. if your neighbour has a subbed box check his if ya dont have one
