what box is this please help

    my mate has given me a silver box no make on it its about 10 inces by 1 and has a disply in center whice is about 1inc half inc its powered by a dmr adaptor any ideas please thank you ian

    the only label on it says DJ0506000764 AND MADE IN KOREA

    also the box seems to be staying on standby is this due to software needs updating or is the box broken

    that box you have is a fta box made for the asian market...it is still sold,but very rarely found or seen here in the uk or europe.from its serial number it is something produced in the late 1990's early 2000's,but it is no good when it comes to using for purposes other than freeview...if its on the on or standby position,then most likely it was modded and used many years ago...
    if i was you.id sell it at a carboot or bin it....you'd better off purchasing a eurovox or digibox,if you know what i mean...!!;-)

    Glad you got an answer mate, I didn't have a clue what it was. eurovox is a good box to go for although some like the starview, for the money I will recommend a Eurovox PVR if you want to record or the ex1000sl basically a slimed down max V and a cheap box.
